
Andrew Grose
President and CEO
Andrew Grose brings more than 15 years of experience in the information technology industry to Nortec Communications, Inc. He established Nortec in 1991 and continues to successfully lead the organization into profit, year after year. He is actively involved in the strategic and operational decisions of the company, which includes accounting, finance, sales, marketing, technology solutions and human resources.
In addition to the Nortec companies, Mr. Grose owns and operates commercial office buildings, including the Nortec Office Building on Route 7 in Tyson's Corner, Virginia. Andrew holds a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering degree from Auburn University.
Mr. Grose is an active member of the Young Entrepreneurs' Organization, and avidly plays hockey. He and his wife, Catharine live in Vienna, Virginia.
George Hammerschmidt
Chief Operating Officer and EVP
George Hammerschmidt has over 15 years experience in developing, marketing and selling software products and information technology services. He has worked extensively in the areas of telecommunications operational support systems and large enterprise information technology management. He brings to Nortec a wide range of sales, business development, marketing, product line management and software development experience. As Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President, Mr. Hammerschmidt is responsible for all strategic, operational and financial initiatives, as well as developing and managing the associated corporate infrastructure.
Mr. Hammerschmidt has also held positions at Orchestream Systems PLC as VP North and South American Sales, CrossKeys Systems Corporation as VP North American Sales, Canadian Pacific Railway as Director of Performance Management, and EDS (Electronic Data Systems), in Sales Engineering. He holds a Masters of Business Administration from York University and a Bachelor of Computer Science from the University of Windsor. George and his wife, Alison reside in Vienna, VA.
Thomas W. Raisbeck
VP - Professional Services
Tom Raisbeck has over 11 years experience as an industry-leading network consultant. Mr. Raisbeck's strong consulting background with top-level enterprise skills in Exchange and Active Directory place him at the head of an extremely strong Professional Services team. Mr. Raisbeck has specialized experience fulfilling the US Government's Continuity of Operations (COOP) standards both from a design and process standpoint.
His experience scaling the delivery process to service engagements in the Federal, Enterprise, and Small Business environments manifests itself in consistently succesful engagements and high customer satisfaction levels.
As Vice President of Professional Services, Tom provides leadership and direction to all of Nortec's consulting and engineering staff. Tom currently attends Penn State University. He and his wife Lisa live in Centreville, VA.
Steve Estep
General Manager, Southern Virginia
Steve Estep, a former Air Force computer armament technician and 22-year industry veteran, entered the technology industry at a time when component level repair was common and swapping out hardware and local area networking were in their infant stages. As a highly certified network systems engineer across multiple manufacturers, Mr. Estep utilized those skills to develop unique and custom tailored service offerings and solutions for a number of Fortune 500 companies throughout the US.
Now as General Manager of Nortec Communication's Southern Virginia operation, Mr. Estep's areas of expertise include Program/Branch Office Development, Systems Engineering and Service Delivery. Mr. Estep has two daughters and lives in Chesterfield, Virginia where he enjoys golf, mountain biking and motorcycling.
David Solomonraj
General Manager, Eastern Pennsylvania
David Solomonraj has over 8 years of sales and marketing experience in the telecom and IT industries. David brings a successful track record of working with Enterprise accounts in the Washington D.C market and has been very successful in penetrating the Eastern Pennsylvania market. David was previously a Global Account Manager with AT&T Mobility, and Director of Enterprise Accounts at Nortec.
As General Manager for Eastern Pennsylvania, David is responsible for developing new opportunities and clients in the market. David’s responsibilities include developing sales strategies, marketing campaigns, sales, customer and vendor relationship development and management, and managing a talented staff consisting of sales and engineering. David graduated with his Marketing degree with the University of Maryland College Park and recently graduated with his Masters of Business Administration from the University of Maryland University College.

Scott Sailer
General Manager, Western Pennsylvania
Scott Sailer has over 15 years experience in technology solution sales including infrastructure, application development, telecom, ITIL consulting and staff augmentation solutions. He brings to Nortec a successful track record of developing new territories with some of the most well respected Technology companies in the industry. These positions include being Director of Strategic Accounts for Nortec in the DC area, Business Development Manager for EMC’s Microsoft Practice and an Account Executive with Agilysys, Inc in the HP Business Unit.
As General Manager for Western Pennsylvania, Scott is responsible for providing leadership and direction for the Western PA territory including developing sales strategies, sales, customer and vendor relationship development and management, consulting services and aligning Nortec’s broad service offerings to the Western PA market. Scott attended Northeastern University in Boston, MA and resides with his wife and 3 children in Wexford, PA.
