Who Should Apply?
The Nortec Principal Consultant role at Nortec is held by those individuals who have, over time, gained the expertise and ability to provide the highest level of IT and network consulting. A client-focused position, the Principal Consultant must have the ability to communicate with any client effectively and must be able to analyze that client’s particular situation and tailor an appropriate approach.
The Principal Consultant is required to take ownership of the project/client relationship and be able to locate the right resources to get it done. The Principal Consultant also must demonstrate the ability to develop and strengthen both new and existing client relationships and be able to consider the long term. The Principal Consultant should also be a specialist in at least one IT area of expertise. The Principal Consultant is also a team leader and has the responsibility of guiding and mentoring the engineers he works with. The Principal Consultant must be able and willing to pass his knowledge on to the rest of the engineering staff and be a dependable resource for them.
Requirements
- 10+ years experience with enterprise networking solutions
Preferred Criteria
- Subject Matter Expert-Level
- MCSE 2000 or MCSE 2003
- MCSE Specialization in: Security (ISA), SMS, MOM, MOM, Clustering/NLB
- Cisco Certification – CISSP, 3COM
- Security-related certification or specialization (i.e. Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH))
- Experience with MSF delivery framework
- Project management certification (PMP)
- Extensive knowledge of IP routing and connectivity
- Presentation Skills
