Apple’s latest software OS for iPhone / iPad - iOS 11 - is not currently compatible with Outlook.com, Office 365, or Exchange Server 2016.

The built-in Mail app in iOS 11 is currently incompatible with Outlook.com, Office 365, and Exchange 2016. You may encounter errors when trying to connect to your mail servers, send mail, or reply to mail.

This also impacts Calendars and Contacts.

If you have not updated to iOS 11, please wait until this issue is resolved before updating.
If you have already updated to iOS 11, then you most likely cannot send new mail or reply to mail.

In order to make mail work, you will either need to wait for an update from Apple, or can install and set up Outlook for iOS client from the App Store.

Outlook for iOS supports multiple email services, including Outlook.com, Office 365, and Exchange Server 2016. Instructions are attached to configure the application.
