Q: You’ve just joined Nortec. Why did you join the team?
A: I come from a manufacturing and hardware business background, but I have a young family and wanted to focus more on local territory, which is hard to do in the manufacturing and OEM industry. I also loved the opportunity to grow small office into a larger one.
Q: Tell us a little about your job.
A: In a nutshell, I handle all sales in the Western Pennsylvania area. I take care of current customers, support their needs, and bring solutions to solve their challenges. I also help to grow our customer base in Pittsburgh and Western PA. We have such a strong team that we are really able to help our customers and grow Nortec in this area.
Q: What would you say is the most rewarding part of your job?
A: The best part of my job is answering the needs of our customers and finding the right solutions for their business goals. Collaborating together to solve business challenges is really fulfilling. I truly enjoy developing long, strong relationships and be their go-to person to solve their challenges.
Q: What are you seeing in the Pittsburgh marketplace right now?
A: There’s a slower transition into the cloud space. Pittsburgh is a big city, but is really like a small town. We like to be comfortable with things before jumping in. My role as a consultative partner is to make sure my customers are comfortable, understand the solution fully, and to guide them.
Q: What’s the best piece advice you could give your customers?
A: Listen to the Nortec engineers. They’re rock stars.
Q: What would your co-workers be surprised to learn about you?
A: I have 3 kids 4 years old and younger, so I have my hands full both in the office and at home. Luckily I have a very competent and supportive wife. Right, honey?
