Microsoft May Pay You to Be the Employer People Want to Work For

You can’t escape news about inflation, supply chain shortages and the “Great Resignation.” The trifecta is hardly the year-end present business owners asked for after two long pandemic years. We can’t clear up the ports, but we have ideas for attracting and retaining employees.
And Microsoft may even pay for it. You read that correctly. We’ll come back to that.
Employees want forward-thinking companies and flexible work options. They don’t want to keep doing their own desktop support. Employees want the ability to do their jobs as effectively as possible. That usually means an upgrade in equipment. Many don’t want to return to the office. According to a report by Limeade:
- 40% left jobs because of burnout
- Remote work attracted 40% of respondents to new jobs
- 24% valued their new job’s flexible work schedule
You can’t just make an announcement and become a remote-work-friendly business. If you have aging infrastructure, technology will undercut your plans. It takes leading-edge solutions, like Microsoft Azure, and a partner like Nortec who can accelerate your cloud journey and get Microsoft to pay for some of the costs under the Azure Migration and Modernization Program (AMMP).
Under the AMMP, Microsoft is helping companies by paying for their modernization – in part or in whole, when you work through a Microsoft Certified Partner – like Nortec – who is part of the AMMP program. This ensures you work with a partner who can actually make your digital transformation a successful (read: smooth and secure) reality.

2. Holiday bonus for Microsoft 365
Microsoft 365 Suite is getting a free present: Windows Defender included for free.
