Andrew Grose – President and CEO
Andrew Grose brings more than 20 years of experience in the information technology industry to Nortec Communications, Inc. He established Nortec in 1991 and continues to successfully lead the organization into profit, year after year. He is actively involved in the strategic and operational decisions of the company, which includes accounting, finance, sales, marketing, technology solutions and human resources.
In addition to the Nortec companies, Mr. Grose owns and operates commercial office buildings, including the Nortec Office Building on Route 7 in Tyson’s Corner, Virginia. Andrew holds a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering degree from Auburn University.
Mr. Grose is an active member of the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO), and avidly plays hockey. He and his wife, Catharine live in Vienna, Virginia.

George Hammerschmidt – Chief Operating Officer and EVP
George Hammerschmidt has over 25 years of experience as an entrepreneur, business-owner and manager. He has held senior roles developing and launching information technology software, hardware, and professional service solutions. Key markets Mr. Hammerschmidt has focused on are the Operational Support Systems (OSS) for telecommunications companies globally and information technology infrastructure solutions for SMB, Midmarket, and Large Enterprise throughout the United States. His experience and success working with teams to move early-stage startups from concept to IPO in software, hardware, and IT services has produced company listings on the NASDAQ, TSE & LSE.
As Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Nortec Communications, Mr. Hammerschmidt is responsible for Corporate Strategy, Sales, Marketing, Finance Initiatives and Regional Operations. He also serves on the Partner Advisory Councils of LifeSize and Mitel; both suppliers are integral to Nortec’s Unified Communications Practice.
Mr. Hammerschmidt has held positions at Orchestream Systems PLC as VP North and South American Sales, CrossKeys Systems Corporation as VP North American Sales, Canadian Pacific Railway as Director of Performance Management, and EDS (Electronic Data Systems) in Sales Engineering.
He holds a Masters of Business Administration from York University and a Bachelor of Computer Science from the University of Windsor. He is also an owner and board member of several privately held real estate holding companies specializing in commercial, residential and agricultural properties throughout the United States.

Deb Wiker – Vice President of Sales
Deb Wiker has over 20 years of experience in IT business development and consulting. She has held several senior positions developing long term strategic relationships with enterprise clients. Deb works with her clients to identify emerging technologies to enhance and monetize their corporate growth.
Deb has served in many roles since joining Nortec. Currently, she leads corporate business expansion and client service activities while actively improving operational systems and policies.
She holds a Master of Arts in International Business from George Mason University with a Bachelor of Science in Economics & Business Administration from the University of North Carolina.
Specialties: Enterprise Consulting & Sales Services, Cloud Infrastructure, Security, and Unified Communications solutions, and Business Development for the SMB to Enterprise Market segment.
Deb is active in several organizations including the International Association of Microsoft Channel Partners, Northern Virginia Technology Council, and Mitel Channel Partner Community Association.
